Baker's Falls
Hortan Plains

Lying high within the picturesque mountain plateau of Horton Plains, Baker's Falls is a most scenic waterfall with a height of 66ft. Named after its discoverer, Sir Samuel Baker, an intrepid explorer and big game hunter of the British colonial period, it lies nestled in a forested thicket of montane shrub and tree ferns. A source of the Belihul Oya, it is a broad falls, with its waters cascading over multiple drops and rocky outcrops to a pool at its base. A large part of the attraction of Baker's Falls is the trek to get there through Horton Plains which is home to unique and endemic flora and fauna.
