A broken-down bridge made of stone blocks, this is not the complete monument but a mere fraction of it instead. Locally this Ancient Stone Bridge is known as Gal Palama. It was originally built across the Yodha Ela, a canal and water outlet that carried water from the nearby tank to water the neighboring rice paddies. However today, there is no more Yodha Ela beneath the bridge and instead a smaller more recent waterway.

There are two such ancient stone bridge, one over the canal and the other over the Malwathu Oya, the main river that feeds the area. Both possibly date back to the late Anuradhapura Period but beyond this, dating is impossible.
